Football supporters have offered their support for Emilio Izaguirre after the former Celtic defender was injured after rival football fans clashed during a match in Honduras.

According to BBC Sport, stones were thrown at the Motagua team bus outside the stadium prior to their derby clash with Olympia, with broken glass damaging Izaguirre’s eye.

The former Celtic defender was one of 10 people injured, while three others tragically lost their lives as fan violence marred the build up to the tie.
